Several agent-owners with Kahala Associates recently earned the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation in recognition of their experience, knowledge and expertise in the luxury home market. The designees, including Myra Brandt, Gloria Affigne, Shaila Mirchandani, and Jeff Fox, were recognized by the prestigious Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.

She has achieved the CRS Designation by completing advanced courses and demonstrating professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 4% of Realtors nationwide have earned that credential. Congratulations, Shaila!
Kahala Associates Wins Web Site Award at International Conference

Kahala Associates was again represented at this year’s international conference of The Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® organization by Chuck Garrett, director of business development. This year’s event was held in Boca Raton, Florida and was well attended by more than 800 real estate brokers from across the United States as well as from 11 international cities. Real estate leaders advised each other about a number of industry topics and about the current performance and expectations for some of the highest and lowest performing markets. Garrett was a featured speaker on the subject of benchmarking Internet business trends. ‘Capturing a prospective client from the Internet, providing a high quality experience, determining which vendors to work with, establishing a workable revenue share ... these are all topics still somewhat in their infancy for most real estate companies," reported Garrett.
Garrett was also on hand to receive Kahala Associates’ first prize award for Web site design presented by Paul Boomsma, chief marketing officer of Leading RE. "The Web site was chosen for its creativity and effectiveness and we were inspired by a number of design elements in Kahala’s Web site," said Robin LaSure, Leading RE’s vice president of communications.

Kahala Associates Builds Expertise in Luxury Home Marketing

Several agent-owners with Kahala Associates recently completed a luxury home marketing training course offered by The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. The Kahala Associates team includes Myra Brandt, Gloria Affigne, Shaila Mirchandani, Dawn Marie, Pam Princenthal, Ulf Schaefer, Jeff Fox, and Ian Murphy.
The course - which covered such topics as demographics of the affluent, lifestyle segmentation, trends and amenities in today’s luxury home product, and creating a marketing plan for the multimillion dollar property – was taught by Sharon Simms and Tami Simms, and created by Laurie Moore-Moore, President of the Dallas-based Institute and author of the book, “Rich Buyer, Rich Seller! The Real Estate Agents’ Guide to Marketing Luxury Homes.”
“The course is a step towards earning the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation which The Institute awards internationally to sales professionals who meet performance standards in the upper-tier residential market,” said Moore-Moore. “Kahala Associates is an example of a company who works to hone the special skills and competencies necessary to provide exceptional service in the fine homes and estates marketplace.” Kahala Associates is an award-winning real estate brokerage that has been active since 2001 and specializes in Oahu’s luxury market.
